In their February 2024 issue, Business North Carolina magazine featured Moore County in a special “Community Close-Up” section written by Kathy Blake.  Moore County is known for many things including country living, charming small towns, and its vibrant economy, to name a few.  This article explores how Moore County is now also known for its resilience.

The article highlights:

• Moore County as a golf mecca, and the excitement building around the 2024 U.S. Open Championship in June,
• Our communities as home to thriving small manufacturers, a growing healthcare industry, a strong community college, and innovative entrepreneurs & small businesses,
• The area’s robust entrepreneurial ecosystem, increasing military population, and growing defense sector,
• Sandhills Community College and its efforts – which include establishing a new Early College High School – to meet local workforce needs, and
• Moore County veterans as successful entrepreneurs and business owners, such as BHAWK.

Moore County and its communities will continue to embody resilience in adapting to and accommodating projected growth without jeopardizing our exceptional quality of life and those special characteristics that have come to define life here.
