To celebrate National Manufacturing Day, Moore County Economic Development Partnership, the Moore County Chamber of Commerce, and Sandhills Community College are pleased to invite Moore County’s manufacturers to a complimentary breakfast on Thursday, October 2 at 8:00am in the Clement Dining Room at Sandhills Community College.

This event is is designed to highlight the strength of our local manufacturing sector while providing resources to support your business. The program will feature:

• • Remarks from Ashley Ciccone, Principal of Moore Innovative High School, on how the new school is preparing the next generation of talent for our manufacturers.
  • An interactive roundtable discussion with Sandhills Community College on workforce training priorities.
  • An overview of NC State’s Rural Works Internship Program, including recent success stories from Moore County manufacturers.
  • Details on the launch of the new Moore County Manufacturer Networking Meetup, scheduled for November.

As an added benefit, manufacturers in attendance will be entered for a chance to receive two complimentary tickets (valued at $140) to the upcoming Talent Symposium at Sandhills Community College on October 24 featuring leadership expert Dr. Ellen Burts-Cooper who will speak about “Mastering the Workplace: The Art & Science of Managing and Leading Others”.
