Business Plan.
A business plan translates your idea into a detailed written action plan. This document serves as a road map for achieving your business goals and is essential for securing funding from lenders and investors.

Identify Sources
of Funding.
Once you’ve clarified your business plan, it’s time to identify how your business will be financed. There are various sources of capital available to help launch your business, fund daily operations and expand your business.

Choose a Business
Location.
Location matters! Now that you’ve chosen Moore County as the home for your business, there are several factors you’ll want to consider in selecting a building or a site for your business.

Choose a Business
Structure & Register
Your Business Name.
Before deciding on a structure for your business, it’s important to consult an attorney and/or accountant, as each option has unique legal and tax implications. If you plan to use an assumed business name (DBA), you will need to register it with the Moore County Register of Deeds office and the state of North Carolina.

Meet Employer
Registration, Reporting
& Tax Requirements.
Finally, there are several other steps you’ll need to take, including applying for state and federal Employer Identification Numbers (EIN), obtaining applicable licenses and permits, completing employer forms and meeting reporting deadlines and tax filing requirements.
